Klarna Partner Portal overview

Sign in to the Klarna Partner Portal through your Acquiring Partner's portal, and find your way around its apps.

When you integrate with Klarna through Paytrail, your payments are processed and settled by Paytrail. You use the Klarna Partner Portal to manage the Klarna features that sit outside Paytrail's platform: disputes, conversion features, your Brand in the Klarna app, users, and credentials.
Your apps depend on your agreement
The apps you see depend on the agreement between Paytrail and Klarna. For example, dispute management may not be available to you.

Access the portal

Paytrail links their portal to the Klarna Partner Portal, so you sign in with your Paytrail credentials. You don't need a separate Klarna Partner Portal login.
You can enter in two ways:
  • From Paytrail's portal: select the Klarna Partner Portal link. You land in the Klarna Partner Portal already signed in.
  • From the Klarna Partner Portal login page: if Paytrail supports it, select Continue with Paytrail, then sign in with your Paytrail credentials.
Some apps need Klarna two-factor authentication. The first time you open one, you're asked to set it up, and depending on how Paytrail connects you, to set a Klarna password too. When Paytrail supports it, the sidebar includes a link back to Paytrail's dashboard.
Paytrail chooses which accounts you can access and your role in each. See Users and access.

How the portal is organized

  • Account selector: shows the account you're working in. Every app shows data for this account. See Accounts and account selector.
  • Portal Home: shortcuts to every app available for the selected account.
  • Disputes: respond to customer disputes. See Payments and disputes.
  • Conversion features: apps to set up conversion features. See Conversion features.
  • Settings and Klarna Docs: separate from the other apps. See Settings.
  • Account details: shows the name and reference of the selected account. Open it to copy your Partner Account and Payment Account IDs.
  • Paytrail dashboard: when Paytrail supports it, a link next to the account details opens Paytrail's dashboard.
  • Notifications: to-dos such as disputes to answer, plus announcements and invitations to new accounts.
  • Profile menu: update your language and security settings, or log out.
  • Get support: opens the help panel with articles and a chat.

Why can't I see an app?

  • Payments are handled by Paytrail: Order manager and Settlements don't appear, because you capture, refund, and get paid on Paytrail's platform.
  • Agreement: some apps are only available if they're part of the agreement between Paytrail and Klarna.
  • Role: your role controls which apps you can use. If you see You need additional access for this page, ask your administrator or Paytrail for access.
  • Signing in through Paytrail: User manager, Support, and Search & Compare need a Klarna Partner Portal login.
  • Two-factor authentication: Disputes, 0% Financing, and Brand manager require two-factor authentication. If an app shows a lock, select Log in or Complete setup to verify.
